Hardware Asset Manager - AnalystRole SummaryThe Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for governing the full lifecycle of server hardware assets across the enterprise. This role ensures asset accuracy, optimizes support costs, mitigates infrastructure risk, and enables reliable, compliant operations through robust lifecycle, vendor, and financial management practices.Key Responsibilities1. Server Lifecycle ManagementManage the end-to-end lifecycle of server hardware: purchase planning → deployment → maintenance → refresh → decommissionTrack End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) milestones and drive proactive refresh planningMaintain accurate and complete asset records in CMDB/asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow)Coordinate deinstallation, data sanitization, and disposal in accordance with security and compliance policiesEnsure lifecycle governance standards are consistently applied across all hardware assets2.



Vendor Support Contract OversightManage OEM and third-party maintenance (TPM) support contractsTrack warranty status, SLAs, and maintenance coverage for all server assetsLead contract renewals, co-terming strategies, and support model decisions (OEM vs. TPM)Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities (e.g., tier alignment, eliminating redundant coverage)Mitigate risks associated with aging or unsupported hardware3. Risk Availability ManagementEnsure all critical production servers have appropriate support coverage aligned to business SLAsIdentify and reduce risk exposure related to unsupported or end-of-life assetsPartner with infrastructure and operations teams to improve incident response via contract-aware escalation pathsSupport audit and compliance activities through accurate lifecycle and support data4.
