Commodity Head-FBV Buses, Capacity Planning & SQD

Date:18 Jun 2026Location:Pune, MT-ChakanOffice, INCompany:Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd- _Lead end-to-end commodity ownership for commercial vehicles (Fully Built Vehicles, Tippers, Cargo), driving product development, manufacturing excellence, quality improvement, and capacity planning, while ensuring cost, performance, and delivery targets are met. This includes responsibility of Bus body development, Planning and procurement of all Bill to Ship to Parts of Bus Body and ensuring the buses availability for month-on-month billing requirements._
- _Domain Expertise_
- _Deep understanding of vehicle aggregates, chassis, body-building, and integration challenges _
- _Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers in CV segment_
- _Product Development_
- _Hands-on experience in end-to-end vehicle/commodity development lifecycle _
- _Concept Design Prototyping Testing SOP (Start of Production)_
- _Ability to resolve design issues, field failures, and performance gaps _
- _Experience in DFMEA, DVP&R;, validation & testing processes_




- _Manufacturing & Industrialization_
- _Strong exposure to manufacturing processes for CVs _
- _Ability to handle production challenges, line balancing, throughput issues _
- _Experience in SOP readiness, ramp-up planning, and production stabilization _
- _Knowledge of plant operations, vendor coordination, and supply chain constraints_
- _Quality Management (Critical) - Quality Excellence & Continuous Improvement Requirements_
- _Strong hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive quality improvement and process efficiency _
- _Experience in handling: _
- _Customer complaints / field failures_
- _Warranty reduction initiatives_
- _Supplier quality improvement_
- _Ownership of quality metrics (PPM, warranty, rejection rates, FTR)_
- _Demonstrated success in eliminating recurring defects and driving permanent corrective actions_
