Purpose of the role
To manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators.
- Accountabilities
- Own end-to-end Payments Operations delivery
- Accountable for protected, timely, and accurate execution of corporate payments processing, ensuring client SLAs, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
- Drive Global Payments Target Operating Model (TOM)
- Lead implementation and embedment of a simplified, scalable Payments TOM, aligning processes, controls, and platforms across regions.
- Lead transformation and automation agenda
- Accelerate “stop at source” interventions, automation, and AI-led solutions to reduce exceptions, improve straight-through processing, and drive cost efficiency.
- Strengthen risk, controls, and financial crime safeguards
- Ensure robust controls for payment investigations, funds control,
and compliance adherence, proactively mitigating operational and regulatory risks.
- Enhance client experience and service outcomes
- Deliver differentiated service through reduced turnaround times, improved transparency, and proactive client communication, supporting digital self-serve capabilities.
- Build high-performing, future-ready operations teams
