Position Overview

The Civil Lab Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of construction materials used in railway infrastructure projects. This position involves conducting on-site and laboratory testing of materials for roads, bridges, and culverts,providing accurate data to engineers and project managers for critical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Material testing: Perform tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and steel used in railway roads, bridges, and culverts.
- Soil analysis: Assess compaction, moisture content, and bearing capacity for embankments and bridge foundations.
- Concrete testing: Conduct slump tests, cube tests,



and compressive strength evaluations for bridge decks, culvert slabs, and road pavements.
- Quality assurance: Ensure materials meet Indian Railway standards, project specifications, and regulatory codes.
- Report preparation: Document and present test results to engineers, site supervisors, and project managers.
- Safety compliance: Follow strict lab and site safety protocols in high-risk bridge and culvert environments.
