eBay is seeking a passionate, highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in the Advertising & Marketing technology organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance, and resilient backend services using Java and related technologies. You will work with other engineers,



Architects, Product Management, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and adherence to development principles and quality goals.
The candidate will:
Build our platforms and systems infrastructure using your solid background in distributed systems, system design, and large scale database systems.
Research, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews and project related team meetings.
Work closely with senior developers, product owners, and QA engineers to understand requirements, contribute to technical designs, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges.
