Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, IMS DB/DC,



Assembler and CICS with Mainframe tools and utilities. Also, able to embrace recent approaches with DevOps in mainframe environments and technology stack, esp. cloud native with java/python.
3 to 8 years of experience required to be considered for this position.
Develop and execute unit tests and integration plans to ensure application changes meet technical specifications.
Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of mainframe applications.
Maintain detailed documentation of code, processes, and solutions.
Identify and implement performance improvements and optimizations.
Automation of repetitive tasks like building, testing, and deploying code.
Able to use modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio Code (VS Code) with extensions like Explorer for Endevor, Amazon Q, DevX, Zowe etc. to enhance developer productivity.
