Role & responsibilities

To lead and govern overall plant operations including production, quality, engineering services, maintenance, logistics, safety and compliance to achieve business objectives. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing resources, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining statutory compliance and building a high-performance manufacturing culture.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Drive overall plant operations including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Dispatch functions.

2. Lead production planning and execution to achieve business targets, delivery commitments and customer requirements.

3. Optimize plant capacity utilization, manpower productivity and machine efficiency to maximize operational performance.

4. Strategize raw material and packing material planning to ensure uninterrupted production operations.

5. Govern quality management systems and ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

Lead defect reduction initiatives and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances.

7. Maintain and optimize management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other applicable certifications.

8. Optimize operational costs through scrap reduction, process improvements and productivity enhancement initiatives.

9. Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.

10. Verify and optimize product costing to support customer requirements and business profitability.

11. Build employee capability through training, skill development, performance management and succession planning initiatives.

12. Govern compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, customer audits and statutory requirements.

Lead customer interactions, plant visits and third-party audits to enhance business relationships and organizational credibility.
