Role & responsibilities:
- Handle procurement of civil materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing materials, paints, hardware, and other construction materials.
- Source and evaluate vendors, contractors, and suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and reliability.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate rates, and finalize purchase orders.
- Manage procurement for civil repair, renovation, maintenance, and construction works.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project/site locations.
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor network across locations.
- Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, quality issues, and vendor performance.
- Negotiate commercial terms, credit periods, payment terms, and bulk purchase discounts.




- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement efficiency.
- Resolve vendor-related issues related to pricing, quality, shortages, and delayed deliveries.

Preferred candidate profile:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3-8 years of experience in civil procurement / construction procurement.
- Solid knowledge of civil construction materials and market rates.
- Good vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in handling multiple sites/projects will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, procurement software/ERP, and basic MIS reporting.
