Role Overview
- The Senior DPS SME / Architect is responsible for end-to-end ownership of enterprise data protection strategy, covering backup, recovery, disaster recovery, compliance, and platform evolution.
- This role goes beyond operations and focuses on architecture, governance, resilience, and long-term platform stability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and own enterprise backup and recovery architecture across on-prem and hybrid environments
- Define and govern RTO/RPO strategies aligned with business criticality
- Lead platform migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh programs
- Architect and optimize solutions using NetBackup, Commvault, Data Domain, Rubrik, Cohesity
- Own DR architecture, DR drills, and failover/failback strategies
- Define standards, policies, retention models, and compliance controls




- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments
- Act as escalation point for major incidents and RCA
- Mentor L2/L3 engineers and provide technical leadership
- Engage with vendors and senior stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills
- Deep architecture-level experience in NetBackup and/or Commvault
- Strong expertise with Data Domain (DD Boost, replication, vaulting)
- Enterprise DR design (multi-site, active/passive, cyber recovery)
- Robust Linux & Windows understanding
- Audit, compliance, and governance exposure
- Location - Hyderabad, Pune, Noida, Bangalore
