We are seeking a motivated and commercially astute legal skilled with 4-7 years of post qualification experience to support land acquisition and project development activities for utility-scale wind energy projects across India. The role will be responsible for conducting land due diligence (with support of legal counsels), structuring land transactions, negotiating land documentation, supporting permitting activities, and managing legal risks associated with project site development. The ideal candidate should have experience in real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, project development, title due diligence, and regulatory matters relating to land acquisition. The candidate should be willing to travel to project sites, as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Land Acquisition & Title Due Diligence
- Conduct and manage legal due diligence for private, government, and community land parcels identified for wind energy projects.
- Identify title defects and develop solutions for mitigating acquisition risks.
- Coordinate with external counsel, land consultants, survey agencies,



and local authorities on title verification exercises.

Land Transaction Documentation
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on various documents/agreements viz., Agreements to Sell, Sale Deeds, Lease Agreements, Land Purchase Agreements, Development Agreements, Easement Agreements, Access and Right-of-Way Agreements

Regulatory & Government Interface
- Liaise with district authorities, revenue departments, registration offices, and other regulatory authorities.
- Monitor state-specific land regulations affecting renewable energy projects.

Project Development Support
- Partner with business development, project development, engineering, and commercial teams in securing land for wind projects.
- Advise on legal risks relating to project siting, transmission corridors, substation lands, access roads, and evacuation infrastructure.
