Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled AKS Technical Consultant with 5 to 8 years of core hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will design, deploy, and support enterprise Kubernetes clusters, optimize containerized workloads, and build automated deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Cluster Deployment & Management: Provision, configure, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters across multi-setting infrastructure (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
- Container Orchestration: Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes objects (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets), and Helm charts.
- Networking & Ingress: Configure cluster networking (Azure CNI, Kubenet), ingress controllers (NGINX, Application Gateway Ingress Controller - AGIC), and network policies.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate AKS deployments with Azure DevOps (YAML Pipelines) and GitHub Actions for continuous automated application releases.
- Monitoring & Security: Configure Azure Monitor for Containers, Container Insights, Log Analytics, and implement Azure RBAC / Entra ID pod identity and secrets management (Azure Key Vault).
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose cluster performance bottlenecks, pod execution failures, resource limits, and node scaling issues.
Key Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of total IT experience, with a heavy focus on Azure and Kubernetes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficient with Helm for package management and application deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting experience using Bash/Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep is a plus.
