Primary Purpose

To provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children, fostering their cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development through play-based and age-appropriate learning experiences while building a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the prescribed curriculum and lesson plans for children.
Create a warm, safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued, secure, and encouraged to explore.
Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, communication, creativity, motor skills, and social-emotional competencies through age-appropriate activities.
Use a variety of interactive teaching strategies, including storytelling, music, movement, art, sensory play, and hands-on activities, to cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, self-help skills, and good manners through consistent guidance and positive reinforcement.




Closely monitor children's health, hygiene, safety, nutrition, and emotional well-being, responding promptly to their individual needs.
Observe and document each child's developmental progress, identify learning needs, and provide timely feedback to parents and school leadership.
Build positive partnerships with parents by maintaining regular communication about children's progress, milestones, and classroom activities.
Organize and maintain an attractive, stimulating, and child-friendly classroom with engaging learning corners, displays, and developmentally appropriate resources.
Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, rest time, indoor and outdoor play, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support children's holistic development and participate in school events, meetings, and career development programmes.
