The Credit Manager is responsible for managing the organization's credit policies, assessing customer creditworthiness, minimizing financial risk, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables. The role involves monitoring credit limits, evaluating customer accounts, reducing bad debt exposure, and maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Assessment & Risk Management
- Evaluate customer credit applications and determine credit limits.
- Conduct financial analysis of customers using financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.
- Assess and mitigate credit risks associated with recent and existing customers.
- Review and approve or recommend credit decisions in line with company policies.
- Monitor customer credit exposure and recommend corrective actions when required.

Accounts Receivable Management
- Oversee accounts receivable aging and collections processes.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Monitor overdue accounts and implement recovery strategies.




- Coordinate with collection agencies and legal teams when necessary.
- Reduce bad debt and improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Policy & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain credit control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and corporate guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of credit decisions and customer records.

Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams to balance revenue growth with risk management.
- Resolve customer disputes related to billing and credit issues.
- Provide recommendations on payment terms and credit structures.

Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on credit exposure, collections performance, bad debts, and customer payment trends.
- Analyze portfolio performance and identify areas for process improvement.
