Role & responsibilities

Role Purpose:

The IT Engineer will be responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure administration, end-user support, IT service management, asset and compliance activities, and business-critical engineering applications. The role requires hands-on technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with internal users, vendors, and global IT teams to ensure smooth and secure IT operations at BEPL.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 technical support for end users, including desktops, laptops, printers, network connectivity, operating systems, Microsoft office/Microsoft 365 and business applications.
- Manage and support Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 administration, basic troubleshooting, patching support, and service availability.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including user accounts, licenses, mailboxes, distribution groups, Teams, SharePoint access, and basic security settings.




- Perform Active Directory administration and File Server Management.
- Support VMware Infrastructure, IT asset lifecycle management, compliance documentation, inventory tracking, and engineering applications such as AutoCAD, Hexagon tools, and related project software.

Skills and Competencies:
- Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with users, vendors, and global IT teams.
- Knowledge of ITSM processes, incident management, service request management, and documentation best practices.
- Technical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware, endpoint systems, and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to maintain IT asset records, compliance evidence, inventory details, and software license documentation accurately.
