Deputy Manager – Purchase

Location: Agartala, Tripura

Salary: ₹40,000+ per month, depending on experience and suitability

Job Responsibilities

* Handle end-to-end purchase activities for the plywood manufacturing plant.

* Procure raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, spare parts, consumables, and other factory requirements.

* Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.

* Negotiate price, quality, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

* Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.

* Coordinate with Production, Stores, Accounts, Quality, and Logistics teams for purchase requirements.

* Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available as per production requirements.

* Compare quotations and maintain proper purchase documentation.

* Track market prices and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

* Resolve issues related to quality, quantity,



delivery, and supplier payments.

* Maintain vendor records and evaluate supplier performance.

* Ensure procurement is carried out as per company policies and approval procedures.

Candidate Requirements

* Experience: 7+ years in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the plywood, veneer, wood, manufacturing, or building-materials industry.

* Strong knowledge of vendor management, negotiation, and procurement processes.

* Positive understanding of manufacturing plant requirements and material planning.

* Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

* Proficiency in MS Excel and Tally software.

* Candidates with an established supplier/vendor network will be preferred.

* Willingness to relocate to Agartala, Tripura.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
