Design Engineer – Shock Absorber / Automotive Industry

Job Description

We are looking for a Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing. Candidates with experience in the shock absorber / automotive industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
- Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Work on SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design and drafting.
- Understand manufacturing processes and ensure designs are production-friendly.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and suppliers for design-related activities.
- Support new product development and engineering changes.
- Prepare BOM, drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues.

Required Skills




- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Jig & Fixture design.
- Positive understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and basic engineering principles.
- Experience in the shock absorber / automotive industry will be an advantage.

Qualification
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

2–3 years of relevant experience. Candidates with higher experience and strong relevant knowledge may also be considered.
