Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and control
quality activities in HMC/VMC machine shop
.
- Handle
in-process and final inspection
of machined components.
- Prepare and maintain
Control Plan, Inspection Standards, SOPs, Work Instructions and Quality Check Sheets
.
- Ensure compliance with
drawing specifications, GD&T; and customer requirements
.
- Knowledge of machining processes such as
milling, drilling, boring, tapping, reaming and CNC machining
.
- Monitor critical parameters such as
CTQ dimensions, surface finish, runout, concentricity, perpendicularity and positional accuracy
.
- Handle
CMM, height gauge, bore gauge, micrometer, vernier, air gauge and other measuring instruments
.
- Conduct
first-piece, patrol/in-process and final inspection
.
- Analyze machining defects and coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for corrective action.
- Handle
NCR, rejection analysis, customer complaints and CAPA
.
- Perform
Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone and other problem-solving tools
.
- Monitor
SPC, MSA, Process Capability (Cp/Cpk)
and process trends.




- Support
PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP and PPAP
activities for new and modified products.
- Conduct
Layered Process Audits (LPA)
and process/product audits.
- Coordinate with NPD/Production for
current product trials and process validation
.
- Ensure proper
traceability and identification of OK/NG/rework material
.
- Monitor and reduce
internal rejection, rework and customer rejection
.
- Train Quality Inspectors and operators on inspection methods and quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with
IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
.

Required Skills
- Mandatory HMC/VMC machine shop experience.
- Strong knowledge of
CNC machining processes and inspection methodology
.
- Good understanding of
GD&T; and engineering drawings
.
- Experience in
CI casting machining / automotive components
will be preferred.
- Knowledge of
IATF 16949, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP and PFMEA
.
- Experience with
CMM and advanced
