About the Role
The City Climate Action Officer will support city-level climate action initiatives, working closely with Agartala Municipal Corporation and other stakeholders to strengthen climate planning, CSCAF implementation, capacity building, and sustainability programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Climate Action Units and city-level climate initiatives.
- Assist in preparation and implementation of City Climate Action Plans (CCAPs).
- Track and manage CSCAF indicators and reporting requirements.
- Support climate budgeting and maintenance of climate-related data platforms.
- Coordinate with local governments, urban departments, and technical partners.
- Organize stakeholder consultations, workshops, and training programs.
- Support city-level IEC campaigns and awareness initiatives.
- Maintain project documentation and knowledge repositories.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Climate Change, Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in urban climate action, sustainability planning, climate resilience, environmental management, or urban governance projects.
- Experience working with Municipal Corporations, ULBs, or urban development agencies is an advantage.
- Solid coordination, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
