This position is designed specifically to large-scale wind turbine project engineering and heavy industrial manufacturing. The role demands expertise in large-diameter bearings (Blade/Pitch bearings, Yaw bearings, and Main Shaft bearings) operating under high extreme-load and fatigue-critical environments in multi-megawatt (MW) onshore and offshore wind turbines.
The Application Engineer will interface directly with wind turbine OEMs, forging/heat-treatment/precision machining engineering teams, and client design leads.
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Production Engineering, or Industrial Metallurgy.
Experience: 3 to 8 years of technical experience in wind turbine bearings, slewing rings, heavy forged components,
or large mechanical drives.
Core Software & Calculation Tools: Proven hands-on experience in bearing calculation tools (BEARINX, MESYS, ANSYS, Abaqus) and CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Metallurgy & Manufacturing Knowledge: Robust grasp of forged ring steel (e.g., 42CrMo4 / 50CrMo4), induction surface hardening techniques, raceway grinding, and non-destructive testing (NDT/UT/MT).
Standards & Regulations: In-depth understanding of IEC 61400, ISO 281, VDI 2230 (bolted joints), and AGMA/DIN bearing life calculations.
