Position Objective

To shoot, edit, and produce public information programming and multimedia content while occasionally serving as an on-camera host and interviewer for the county’s government access channel programming. This role is ideal for a budding filmmaker or media content creator who possesses strong foundational video skills and also a high level of comfort in front of the camera. Please note that this position requires availability for occasional nights and weekends.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Video Production & Post-Production: Provide video production support as needed for multimedia projects (public information programming, promotional videos, and live broadcasts).
- On-Camera Hosting & Interviews: Serve as an on-camera host, presenter, and interviewer for studio and field productions. Deliver clear, engaging on-camera information for public programming and training materials.
- Studio & Broadcast Operations: Assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining studio audio/visual equipment,



including cameras, switchers, mixers, and lighting. Help schedule and encode programming for broadcast and web distribution.
- Digital Media & Systems Support: Distribute, update, and manage video content across web and social media platforms (such as YouTube, Vimeo, and departmental sites). Assist with file organization, backups, and basic equipment inventory.
- Community Engagement: Assist in instructing public access classes on basic video editing and proper studio equipment usage.

Required Skills And Qualifications
- Foundational Video Skills: Basic experience with video camera operation, framing, and standard non-linear video editing software.
- Trainability & Adaptability: A solid desire to learn advanced production workflows, studio engineering, and media management on the job.
