Supply Chain Management Lead

Keep parts flowing so engineering never has to slow down for one.

At Green Aero, the biggest risk to a program timeline usually isn't a design problem, it's a part that didn't show up on time. We already have dedicated SCM points of contact embedded with the Engine team and the UAV team, and they own the day to day sourcing for their programs. What we don't have yet is one person who sits above both, sees the whole picture, and makes sure nothing falls through the gap between the two programs, or between engineering and admin, or between procurement and finance. That's this role.

Location:
HiTech Defence & Aerospace Park, Bengaluru, on site

Work days:
5 to 6 days a week, depending on program timelines and what's in flight

Experience:
8 to 12 years in supply chain management or procurement, ideally in a manufacturing, R&D;, aerospace, defense, or automotive environment

What the job actually looks like

You'll oversee the complete SCM function across the company, not just one program.



The Engine and UAV teams each have their own SCM POC handling day to day sourcing, and you'll work closely with both of them, guide their priorities, and step in personally when something needs escalation or when the two programs are competing for the same vendor or the same money. On top of that, you'll also own admin and local procurement, the everyday purchases that keep the facility and the teams running, so nothing falls into a gap where nobody's watching it.

Right now, a lot of our procurement runs on relationships and positive instincts, which has gotten us this far but won't scale. Part of your job is to put real process in place: a proper PR to PO workflow, vendor qualification and onboarding steps, clear approval matrices, and documentation that actually holds up when someone needs to check it later. We want systems that are stringent enough to catch problems early, not process for the sake of process.
