Education BE / BTech or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience

Overall experience required may be up to 6 years

5 to 6 years of hands-on machine design & design engineering experience.

Prior shopfloor experience of maintaining, running factory tools, CNCs etc., experience with WIP inspection for quality control good to have.

Should have successfully executed at least 1 machine design/product design project as a project lead with a team of engineers reporting to the candidate.

Proven experience of pitching ideas/presentation, planning, budgeting, hiring/interviewing and executing project.

Should be familiar with industrial methodologies & standards, Design Thinking, Kanban, Kaizen, Just in Time, knowledge of quality control methodologies such as Six sigma etc.

Should have prior experience of direct client engagement for project work/delivery.

Experience of handling contractors & vendors. Conference presentations, publications, patents good to have.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong verbal and written technical communication & presentation skills.





● Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills for engagement of multi-disciplinary teams.

● Strong project management and risk assessment skills.

● Prior technical experience and skills desired.

o Prior hands-on experience with software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Ansys - FEA/FEM etc.

o Experience of designing systems requiring practical understanding of fields such as heat transfer & thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, kinematics & dynamics, machine design principles, strength of materials, vibration control.

o Prior experience of G-code programming / programming for CNCs will be positive to have. o Basic knowledge of coding using C/Java/Python. o Expertise of assessing risk factors in a project, computing ROI, planning project timelines /creating Gant charts, selecting tech stack, building team.
