Primary objective:

To train the sales team on
furniture products, product knowledge, customer handling and consultative selling
, with a strong focus on improving conversion and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong product knowledge across furniture categories.
- Train sales staff on
materials, construction, finishes, dimensions, features and benefits
.
- Explain differences between solid wood, engineered wood, MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, upholstery, etc.
- Train staff to confidently demonstrate products to customers.
- Develop effective
sales pitches and product presentations
.
- Train the team in customer needs analysis and consultative selling.
- Improve enquiry-to-sale conversion and average bill value.
- Train on
cross-selling and up-selling
.
- Handle objections related to price, quality, delivery, warranty and competitors.




- Conduct role plays, mock customer interactions and practical floor training.
- Create product-training modules and assessments.
- Conduct induction training for new sales employees.
- Monitor training effectiveness through sales performance and customer feedback.
- Work closely with the Sales and Product teams to identify knowledge gaps.

Ideal Candidate
- 5–15+ years of experience in
furniture retail sales / furniture product training / consumer durables / interiors
.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of furniture products and customer buying behaviour.
- Proven ability to train frontline retail sales teams.
- Should be energetic, practical and comfortable conducting training on the sales floor.
- Experience with
premium furniture or showroom-based retail
would be an advantage.
