Job Purpose

To manage the overall workshop operations, ensure efficient vehicle servicing and repairs, achieve business targets, maintain customer satisfaction, and lead the workshop team effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day workshop operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Plan and monitor vehicle repair, servicing, inspection and delivery.
- Achieve workshop revenue, labour, productivity and customer satisfaction targets.
- Monitor job cards, vehicle turnaround time (TAT) and technician productivity.
- Ensure proper bay allocation and optimum utilization of workshop resources.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, technicians, spare parts and other departments.
- Handle major customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor pending, accidental, breakdown and long-pending vehicles.
- Ensure quality control and proper inspection before vehicle delivery.




- Monitor warranty jobs and ensure proper documentation and claim processing.
- Control workshop expenses and minimize rework and operational losses.
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of tools, equipment and workshop infrastructure.
- Conduct regular team meetings and review individual performance/KPIs.
- Train, guide and motivate workshop staff.
- Ensure compliance with Tata Motors SOPs, safety standards and workshop processes.
- Prepare and review daily/monthly workshop performance reports.
- Coordinate with management for business improvement and operational requirements.
