Role description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to be part of a self-organized engineering team focused on designing and developing scalable services that deliver exceptional experiences for credit card consumers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring boot, Microservices, and AWS, with a proven ability to build high-quality applications and APIs at scale while working in a collaborative, agile engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable software services and applications using Java, Spring boot, and Microservices principles.
- Build and maintain robust APIs leveraging RESTful architecture, HTTP protocols, and object-oriented design principles.
- Develop cloud-native solutions and contribute to service reliability, scalability, and performance using AWS.
- Collaborate with Product Management and engineering stakeholders to deliver features aligned with business objectives and product vision.
- Take ownership of significant software components, features, applications,



or services throughout the development lifecycle.
- Advocate engineering excellence through best practices such as Pair Programming, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Contribute to innovation within the team and technical domain by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner effectively across engineering teams to maximize code reuse, knowledge sharing, and operational efficiency.
- Solve complex business and technical challenges within a regulated environment while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
