Sanctions Compliance Analyst

Banking
division.

Job Description:

Purpose of Role:

To support the Sanctions Desk in ensuring effective implementation of sanctions controls, transaction screening governance, and regulatory compliance by reviewing escalations, providing advisory support, and maintaining robust sanctions monitoring and reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transaction Screening & Escalation Management
- Review and disposition of escalated sanction alerts/transactions, ensuring timely and accurate clearance for further escalation.
- Analyse sanction hits across payment systems including MT101 and MT102 transactions.
- Support investigation and resolution of complex sanctions-related cases in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

2. Sanctions List & Watchlist Management
- Conduct daily sanctions list management checks, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Perform checks against specific sanctioned banks/e
