Role & responsibilities

Material Receipt & Verification
- Receive materials, spare parts, consumables, and tools as per purchase orders.
- Verify quantity, specifications, and condition of materials received.
- Coordinate with QC/Engineering for inspection and acceptance.
- Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note) in ERP/system.

2. Storage & Inventory Management
- Ensure proper storage of materials according to category, safety norms, and FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Maintain accuracy in binning, labeling, and stock arrangement.
- Monitor stock levels and report fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical items.
- Support cycle counts and yearly stock audits.

3. Material Issuance & Documentation
- Issue materials to departments against properly authorized indent/requests.
- Update stock records in ERP/Store Ledger immediately after each transaction.
- Maintain documentation for inward, outward, and returnable items.
- Ensure accuracy in stock entries and physical stock.

System & ERP Operations
- Perform all inventory transactions through ERP (SAP/Oracle/Plant ERP).
- Generate reports for stock status, consumption, pending requisitions, and shortages.
- Update material master records, unit conversions, and item categorization as needed.

5. Coordination & Follow-Up
- Coordinate with Procurement for pending purchase orders and urgent requirements.
- Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Mines, and Production teams for material support.
- Follow up with transporters and suppliers for material delivery issues.

6. Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain store cleanliness and ensure protected material handling.
- Monitor storage of hazardous materials as per safety guidelines.
- Follow plant safety rules, PPE compliance, and LOTO procedures where required.
