Job Description: Bath Groomer | Vetic | Chennai

Role Summary

Responsible for bathing, basic grooming, and prepping pets to ensure they are clean, comfortable, and presentable for full grooming or vet visits.

Key Responsibilities

Bathing & Drying: Bathe dogs and cats using pet-safe shampoos, conditioners, and treatments as per skin/coat type

Basic Grooming: Nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, anal gland expression, and light brushing/de-shedding

Pet Handling: Safely handle pets of all sizes and temperaments. Calm anxious pets during bathing

Pre-Groom Prep: Brush out mats, check for skin issues, ticks/fleas and report findings to senior groomer/vet

Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness of grooming area, tubs, tools, and equipment. Follow hygiene and safety SOPs

Client Interaction: Take pet history, note owner instructions, and update on pet’s condition post bath





Inventory Support: Track and report usage of shampoos, towels, and grooming consumables

Requirements:

Education: 10th pass minimum. Certificate/diploma in pet grooming preferred

Experience: 0-2 years in pet bathing/grooming. Freshers with passion for animals can apply

Skills: Positive animal handling skills, patient, attention to detail, physically fit for lifting dogs up to 30kg

Other: Willing to work weekends/holidays. Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment

Location: Chennai

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
