Job Description
*Construction Manager BESS PMC*
The Construction Manager BESS PMC will support site-level construction monitoring and coordination activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects. The role is responsible for overseeing installation readiness, construction sequencing, contractor interfaces, and progress monitoring across civil, electrical, auxiliary systems, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Monitoring & Coordination
- Coordinate PMC monitoring of foundations, trenches, roads, battery container placement, PCS, transformers, MV switchgear, and auxiliary systems.
- Monitor installation progress and workfront readiness across active construction areas.
- Ensure construction activities align with approved schedules and milestones.
Interface & Workfront Management
- Coordinate Civil, Electrical, QA/QC, HSE, EMS/BMS/SCADA, and Commissioning teams.
- Track installation completion and punch-point closure.
- Monitor access, logistics, resource deployment, and installation constraints.
Risk & Performance Monitoring
- Identify construction delays, quality issues, and interface constraints.
- Support recovery planning and implementation.
- Escalate major safety, quality, supply-chain, and design risks.
Reporting & Governance
- Maintain cluster readiness trackers and installation status reports.
