Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Fitter / Welder to join our team. In this role, you will read technical blueprints, lay out metal components, cut and fit materials to precise specifications, and perform high-quality welds. You will be responsible for taking raw metal parts from structural design through to final assembly and inspection.

Key ResponsibilitiesFabrication & Fitting
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to plan layout and assembly steps.
- Layout & Measurement: Measure, mark, and align metal components accurately using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares).
- Cutting & Shaping: Operate shop tools including plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, saws, and hydraulic presses to prep materials.
- Tack Welding & Assembly: Position, clamp, and tack-welding parts together into sub-assemblies or finished structures prior to final welding.

Welding & Finishing




- Perform high-quality structural or pipe welds using processes such as MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), or Stick (SMAW).
- Ensure code compliance (e.g., AWS, ASME) and structural integrity on all finished welds.
- Inspect welds for flaws, porosity, or cracking; grind, blend, and clean finished surfaces.

Safety & Quality Control
- Conduct non-destructive inspection/testing or visual checks on fitted and welded parts.
- Maintain clean, hazard-free shop space and strictly follow OSHA/PPE safety guidelines.
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging gear.

Required Qualifications & SkillsCategoryRequirementEducation

High School Diploma / GED; Trade school certification or apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
