We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions for web applications. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in up-to-date UI and API test automation, with some exposure to UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and legacy automation frameworks.

The role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to improve test coverage, accelerate regression testing, and embed quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios for web applications.
- Create reusable Playwright components, utilities, fixtures, and test data management solutions.
- Automate testing across multiple browsers and application environments using Playwright.
- Perform API testing and automation and validate backend responses,



status codes, payloads, and integrations.
- Analyze application requirements and translate business scenarios into effective automated test cases.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation suites to improve stability, maintainability, and test coverage.
- Debug failed automated tests, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams on defect resolution.
- Integrate Playwright automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and regression validation.
- Generate and maintain automation execution reports, test evidence, defect reports, and quality metrics.
- Apply automation best practices including Page Object Model (POM), reusable components, data-driven testing, and configuration management.
- Work with UFT for maintenance, execution, or migration of existing legacy automation test suites where required.
