Position: Area Business Lead (ABL)

About the Role

We are looking for a results-driven Area Business Lead to drive sales growth, distribution expansion, and market execution across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Business Development Officers (BDOs) and Business Development Executives (BDEs), build strong distributor relationships, and ensure achievement of primary and secondary sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
- Drive primary and secondary sales while ensuring healthy distributor inventory and stock availability.
- Appoint, manage, and develop distributors to maximize market penetration.
- Lead, coach, and monitor the performance of BDOs and BDEs through regular field visits.
- Ensure execution of company sales strategies, trade schemes, and promotional activities.
- Expand numeric and weighted distribution by onboarding recent retail outlets.
- Monitor beat plans, Permanent Journey Plans (PJP), and field productivity.




- Analyze sales performance, identify business opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, key retailers, and channel partners.
- Ensure timely collections, credit control, and compliance with company policies.
- Track competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and market trends.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure seamless business operations.
- Maintain accurate sales reports, market intelligence, and business reviews.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 5–8 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 2 years in a team handling role.
- Strong experience in General Trade distribution management.
