Woven Fabric Designer & Textile Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Woven Fabric Designer & Textile Engineer to develop creative woven fabrics for women’s ethnic wear, with a focus on Jacquard, Dobby and other woven constructions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new woven fabric constructions from concept to commercial production.
- Work with Plain, Twill, Satin, Dobby & Jacquard structures.
- Prepare specifications including EPI, PPI, yarn count, reed, denting, GSM and consumption.
- Select suitable yarns including viscose, nylon and polyester.
- Coordinate fabric trials and production on Airjet, Rapier, Dobby & Jacquard looms.
- Troubleshoot weaving and fabric-quality issues.
- Develop fabrics balancing design, quality, production efficiency and cost.





Requirements
- Textile Engineering / Textile Technology / Textile Design or equivalent.
- 2–5 years’ experience in woven fabric development or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of weaving, yarns and fabric construction.
- Experience with Jacquard/Dobby is preferred.
- Knowledge of NedGraphics, Pointcarre, EAT, ScotWeave or similar CAD software is an advantage.
