Contracts and Vendor Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements, transport contracts etc
- Handle commercial leases, property acquisitions, and infrastructure development contracts for current campuses.
- Review partnership agreements for extra-curricular activities, digital learning software, and franchise models.
Employment and Labor Law
- Oversee the drafting of employment contracts, teacher handbooks, and staff codes of conduct.
- Advise human resources on labor compliance, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and teacher terminations.
- Ensure compliance with employee benefits, provident fund, and workplace safety rules (such as POSH guidelines for prevention of sexual harassment)
- Litigation and Risk Management
- Coordinate and manage active legal disputes, consumer forum cases, or parental grievances.
- Liaise with external advocates and counsel to represent the school in court or administrative hearings.
- Conduct internal risk assessments regarding student safety, data privacy of student records, and campus liabilities.
