Role Summary

Own New Product Development (NPD) for sheet metal stamped components from initial concept to mass production—ensuring feasibility, quality, cost efficiency, and timely launch.

Key Responsibilities
- NPD & Feasibility: Review customer drawings/3D CAD models, conduct DFM/DFA, and handle blank development, bend allowance, and sequence planning.
- Tooling & Trials: Review stamping die designs ( progressive, tandem, compound); manage tool development, trials, and troubleshoot defects (cracks, springback, wrinkles, burrs).
- Documentation & Quality: Prepare PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and execute APQP/PPAP requirements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Align with customers, tool room, production, quality, and suppliers to track NPD timelines and issue resolutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize material utilization,



reduce cycle time, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Automobile).
- Experience: 2–6 Years in Sheet Metal Stamping NPD, tooling, or product development (Automotive/Precision sheet metal preferred).

Key Technical Skills
- Design & CAD: Reading 2D/3D drawings, GD&T;, CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or NX).
- Domain Expertise: Progressive/Tandem dies, sheet metal materials (CRCA, HR, GI, SS, Aluminium), APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and tool validation.
