Objective:

The Project Accountant is responsible for end-to-end financial management of assigned projects — including cost tracking, budgeting, billing, and reporting — ensuring accurate accounting, timely invoicing, and compliance with statutory and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Raise Purchase Orders and share with vendors via email
- Reconcile Purchase Orders on a weekly basis
- Process vendor bills in the accounting software post-approval
- Track retention money, advances, and mobilization advances
- Coordinate with vendors on payments and ledger reconciliation

Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Create and maintain project-wise budgets
- Track actual vs. budgeted costs and flag overruns
- Monitor capex and opex by project/cost centre
- Verify vendor invoices against BOQ, contracts, and milestone completion

Billing & Revenue:
- Prepare project-wise client invoices as per contract terms
- Ensure timely invoicing based on milestone achievement
- Track unbilled revenue and follow up on pending approvals

Reporting & Business Partnering:




- Prepare project-wise MIS reports covering: Cost vs. Budget
- Billing vs. Collection
- Unbilled Revenue
- Share periodic reports with Management and Project Heads
- Act as the finance single point of contact (SPOC) for assigned projects
- Coordinate with Projects and Procurement teams
- Maintain complete project documentation (contracts, BOQs, invoices)

Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure correct TDS classification on project-related transactions
- Ensure correct GST classification on project-related transactions
- Verify GST on inward and outward invoices
- Support GST returns, reconciliations, and audits for assigned projects

Fixed Assets:
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register
- Handle creation and capitalization of Fixed Assets

Qualifications & Experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in project accounting, construction, or coworking/real estate sectors
- Solid working knowledge of project co
