Role Overview

SSO Cancer Hospital is seeking a Doctors Assistant / Patient Coordinator to support oncology consultants in managing schedules, coordinating patient care, and ensuring a

seamless treatment journey. The role involves close interaction with patients, doctors, and hospital departments, with a focus on operational efficiency and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Doctor Schedule Management - Manage the doctors daily OPD, consultation, and surgery schedules - Ensure optimal time utilization and coordination across multiple locations

Patient Coordination - Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and communication - Ensure smooth patient flow during OPD hours - Act as a single point of contact between patients and hospital teams





Treatment Planning and Conversion Support - Assist in converting OPD consultations into procedures or IPD admissions - Follow up with patients regarding diagnostics, treatment decisions, and surgery

IPD and OT Coordination - Coordinate admissions planning, IPD scheduling, and OT bookings - Liaise with billing, nursing, and hospital departments for seamless execution

Insurance and Documentation - Assist with insurance pre-authorization processes and required documentation - Coordinate charity cases and ensure completion of approvals and documentation

Data Management and Tracking - Maintain patient records, follow-up trackers, and scheduling updates - Ensure accurate and timely data entry in internal systems

Patient Experience and Feedback - Ensure a smooth and positive patient experience throughout the treatment journey - Collect patient feedback and encourage reviews for the doctor and centre
