Responsibilities
At Gnani.ai, you'll help build consumer-facing (B2C) mobile apps that bring AI-powered experiences directly to everyday users. As a Software Engineer on our Full-Stack + AI team, you'll help build new AI products from the ground up (0 to 1) – designed from day one to scale to millions of users.
• Own end-to-end features, from data modeling and backend APIs to frontend UI, for products being built from scratch• Design and build AI agent workflows and integrate them into production-grade product experiences• Build voice agents architected to scale to millions of users• Make architecture and design decisions alongside the team for products built to scale to millions of users• Mentor interns and/or junior engineers — or work closely with senior engineers to grow into a mentoring role• Iterate fast — from prototype to production — in a 0-to-1 product environment
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field• 2+ years of skilled experience building full-stack applications• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js• Solid backend experience with Python and FastAPI• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB or similar relational/NoSQL databases• Hands-on experience with at least one AI agent framework (LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic AI, or equivalent)• Regular use of an AI coding assistant (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of your development workflow• Experience mentoring an intern, junior engineer, or peer — or clear readiness to take on mentorship
Good to Have
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)• A portfolio of unique, self-built projects (side projects, hackathon builds, open source)• Experience building voice agents using frameworks like LiveKit Agents, Pipecat, Vapi, Retell, or similar• Experience scaling systems to handle high-traffic, production workloads
