Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations: Manage end-to-end logistics operations including dispatch planning, transportation, loading, unloading, and timely delivery of materials/products.
2. Transporter Management: Coordinate with transporters, monitor vehicle placement, freight rates, route efficiency, and ensure availability of vehicles as per business requirements.
3. Plant & Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Purchase, and Finance teams for smooth movement of materials and finished goods.
4. Cost Control: Monitor freight and logistics costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure logistics expenses remain within approved budgets.
5. Documentation & Billing: Verify transporter bills, freight documents, weighment details, delivery documents, and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
6. MIS & Performance Monitoring:



Prepare daily/monthly logistics MIS covering dispatches, freight cost per MT, vehicle turnaround time, transporter performance, and pending deliveries.
7. Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance with company logistics procedures, statutory requirements, safety standards, and continuously improve logistics efficiency and service levels.

Preferred candidate profile
- Technical & Operational Skills: Strong knowledge of transportation, dispatch planning, transporter management, freight billing, logistics cost control, and MIS reporting.
- Personal Competencies: Positive communication, negotiation, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with Plant, Sales, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
