Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose

To support the Sales & Marketing function by generating business opportunities through market research, customer interactions, lead generation, order coordination, and customer relationship management. The role is responsible for strengthening the company's sales pipeline by identifying prospective customers, maintaining customer data, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely follow-up for business conversion.

Responsibilities

Market Research & Business Development
- Conduct market research to identify new customers, industries, and business opportunities.
- Identify potential customers through online research, industry directories, trade portals, exhibitions, and other sources.
- Generate qualified leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Share qualified leads with the reporting manager for further business development and closure.
- Track competitor activities, products, pricing, and market trends.

Customer Communication
- Make daily outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.




- Receive and attend inbound customer enquiries professionally.
- Introduce and explain the company's products, services, capabilities, and value proposition.
- Understand customer requirements and collect relevant technical and commercial information.
- Build and maintain healthy customer relationships through regular follow-ups.
- Coordinate customer meetings (virtual or physical) whenever required.

Customer Database Management
- Maintain an updated customer database in the ERP/CRM system.
- Record customer interactions, enquiries, feedback, follow-up dates, and call status.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of customer information.

Lead Management
- Generate current business enquiries through cold calling, email marketing, social media, and digital platforms.
- Qualify customer requirements before forwarding them to the Sales Manager.
- Track lead status from enquiry to order execution.
