To lead the day-to-day operations of the residence by developing the existing household team, introducing simple systems, and creating a home that runs smoothly, warmly, and confidently with minimal supervision from the family.
The role is about building people as much as managing operations.
Current Context
Our household is supported by a loyal, long-serving team that has grown with our family over many years. As our home and hospitality requirements have grown, we are looking for someone who can coach, organize and build straightforward systems that help the existing team succeed with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, guide and mentor the existing household team.
- Build confidence, professionalism and teamwork.
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate responsibilities.
- Develop simple SOPs, checklists and routines.
- Foster a culture of ownership, respect and continuous improvement.
- Help each team member focus on their strengths while working together as one coordinated team.
2. Household Operations
- Ensure the residence is well organised, clean and guest-ready.
- Coordinate housekeeping, kitchen, gardening, drivers and maintenance.
- Plan daily operations and ensure consistent execution.
- Coordinate routine purchases and manage petty cash within agreed limits.
- Ensure every team member understands their role so household activities and guest service happen naturally without requiring direction from the family.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers while keeping the family informed of major decisions.
3. Hospitality
- Coordinate hospitality for family, friends and business guests.
- Ensure food preparation, service and guest experience are seamlessly coordinated so the family can focus entirely on their guests.
