Underwriter US Workers Compensation
Job Description
Experience Required:
4 to 6 years of overall experience
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in US Workers Compensation underwriting
Work Timings: Night Shift
Work Mode: Work from Office (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities:
¢ Evaluate and underwrite US Workers Compensation policies as per underwriting guidelines.
¢ Assess risk exposure and determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing for new business
and renewals/existing business.
¢ Review submission applications including loss runs, financials, census, and operational details.
¢ Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.
¢ Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal operations teams.
¢ Maintain accurate underwriting records for audit purposes.
¢ Maintain documentation and ensure accuracy in policy issuance.
¢ Support renewals and endorsements.
Required Skills:
¢ Strong understanding of US Workers Compensation underwriting principles.
¢ Experience with underwriting platforms or rating tools.
¢ Good analytical and decision-making skills.
¢ Good written and verbal communication skills.
¢ Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
¢ CPCU / AINS / AU certifications are an added advantage.
Additional Requirements:
¢ Willingness to work night shifts.
¢ Comfortable working from an office workplace.
