Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose

To lead and manage all store operations within the cement plant, ensuring productive receipt, storage, preservation, inventory control, and issuance of materials, spare parts, consumables, and capital items. The role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, supporting uninterrupted plant operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day store activities including receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, and issue of materials.
- Ensure systematic storage and identification of all inventory items.
- Implement best practices in warehouse and store management.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards within store premises.

2. Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of critical spares and consumables.
- Optimize stock holdings to balance operational requirements and inventory carrying costs.
- Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counting,



and annual physical inventory.
- Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and surplus inventory and recommend corrective actions.

3. Material Receipt & Dispatch
- Ensure timely receipt and documentation of incoming materials.
- Coordinate with procurement, quality, and user departments for material inspection and acceptance.
- Manage material issuance as per approved procedures and authorization matrix.
- Monitor transportation and dispatch activities where applicable.

4. ERP & Documentation Control
- Ensure accurate and timely transactions in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/other ERP platforms).
- Maintain inventory records, stock registers, material movement records, and statutory documents.
- Generate periodic MIS reports related to inventory, stock valuation, consumption trends, and KPI performance.
