Role Description

The Assistant Professor – Forensic Sciences role is a full time, on-site position based at the Coimbatore campus. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in forensic sciences, preparing and updating syllabi and course materials, and conducting laboratory sessions and practical demonstrations. The Assistant Professor will guide student projects and dissertations, mentor students in academic and professional development, and participate in curriculum development initiatives. The role also includes engaging in research activities, publishing in scholarly journals, obtaining research funding, collaborating with peers and industry partners, and contributing to departmental and university committees and outreach programs.

Qualifications
- Ph.D in Forensic Sciences or Master’s degree with UGC NET required.
- Demonstrated expertise in core forensic domains such as crime scene investigation, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, and evidence analysis.
- Experience with laboratory practices, instrumentation,



and safety protocols relevant to forensic investigation.
- Proven ability to design and deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and assessments for diverse student groups.
- Strong research skills, including study design, data analysis, scientific writing, and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor students and collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to ethical practice, academic integrity, and student-centered teaching in alignment with the university’s values.
- Prior teaching or academic experience in higher education and experience in funded research projects or industry collaboration will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,595.17 per month
