Role Summary

Lion Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Chief Sector Expert (Civil-II) to lead and oversee civil design and design review activities for railway and metro infrastructure projects. The role requires extensive expertise in bridge and structural design, engineering drawings, design coordination, and compliance with Indian Railway standards and codes. The selected skilled will provide technical leadership, review design deliverables, guide project teams, and ensure that all civil design outputs meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise civil design and design review activities for railway, metro, and related transportation infrastructure projects.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, calculations, General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), Engineering Scale Plans (ESPs), L-sections, bridge layouts, and other civil engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Railway Bridge Manual (IRBM), Indian Railway Works Manual (IRWM), Concrete Bridge Code, Steel Bridge Code, Substructure Code,



Bridge Rules, Pway Manual (IRPWM), National Building Code, and other applicable standards.
- Provide technical guidance on bridge, structural, track, and associated railway infrastructure design issues.
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, field engineers, and client representatives for design approvals and technical resolutions.
- Review design modifications, value engineering proposals, and construction-stage engineering solutions.
- Monitor the performance of Sector Experts (Civil-II) and provide technical mentoring and quality oversight.
- Ensure timely delivery of design and review outputs in accordance with project schedules and contractual requirements.
- Support project planning, technical reporting, design documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Participate in technical meetings, inspections, audits, and design review committees
