Position Overview

The Senior Manager Finance & Accounts is responsible for leading the University's finance and accounting functions, ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, productive fund management, accurate financial reporting, and robust internal controls. The role supports strategic planning, budgeting, treasury operations, audit management, grant accounting, and compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to higher education institutions in India.

Qualifications and Experience
- M.Com / CA Inter / MBA with 10+ years experience.
- At least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in Universities, higher education institutions, research organizations, or large non-profit organizations is preferred.
- Exposure to ERP-based financial management systems

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee the maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and university policies.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor general ledger accounting,



accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
- Prepare management reports and financial analyses for university leadership and governing bodies.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, fee collections, grants, and other institutional funds.

2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting process across academic, administrative, and research departments.
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure against approved allocations.
- Conduct budget variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support strategic financial planning and long-term sustainability initiatives.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and financial projections.

3. Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Oversee banking operations and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
- Monitor investment
