Role Description
The Counsellor – UK role is a full time, on-site position based in Guwahati. The Counsellor will guide prospective students through the process of choosing suitable UK courses and institutions, explaining entry requirements, application procedures, and visa guidelines.



Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting student consultations, assessing academic and financial profiles, recommending appropriate study options, and supporting students in preparing and submitting accurate applications. The role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK education systems, institutions, and compliance requirements, as well as coordinating with internal teams and partner universities to ensure smooth student placement. The Counsellor will also participate in events, seminars, and outreach activities, and maintain detailed records in IDP’s systems to support reporting, follow-up, and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications
- Strong counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student goals and recommend appropriate UK study options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to work
