We are looking for a highly experienced Oracle Database Architect to lead enterprise database modernization and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will define architecture standards, drive Sybase ASE to Oracle 19c migration programs, design highly available database platforms, and provide strategic leadership across performance, reliability, scalability, and cloud adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Sybase ASE Migration and Oracle Database Modernization initiatives.
- Design enterprise-grade Oracle 19c architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
- Develop and review complex PL/SQL solutions, database packages, procedures, and optimization strategies.
- Drive database Performance Tuning across OLTP and analytical workloads.
- Design and implement High Availability solutions using Oracle RAC.
- Establish Disaster Recovery frameworks leveraging Oracle Data Guard.
- Define Data Architecture standards, governance models, and best practices.
- Create and execute Data Migration Strategy for large-scale transformation programs.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams on Application Integration initiatives.
- Enable DevOps practices through database automation and CI/CD integration.
- Lead Cloud Migration assessments and execution plans for Oracle workloads.
- Provide strategic guidance on Enterprise Architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Mentor engineering teams and participate in architecture governance reviews.
Required Qualifications
- 12-18 years of experience in database architecture, administration, and engineering.
- Robust expertise in Oracle 19c and enterprise database platforms.
- Proven experience in Sybase ASE Migration projects.
- Advanced PL/SQL Development skills.
- Deep knowledge of Performance Tuning methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.
