A. Position Summary

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations, conducting risk assessments, investigating accidents, providing safety training to employees, and maintaining security protocols. The role requires proactive safety management to minimize risks and ensure a secure working environment.

B. Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance with the Factories Act, 1948
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, 1948, and relevant state rules.
- Development & implement statutory safety guidelines and policies.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with government authorities during inspections.

2. Risk Assessment & Safety Management
- Identify workplace hazards and implement risk control measures.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and enforce Permit to Work (PTW) systems.




- Implement safety measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all departments.

3. Safety Audits & Inspections
- Perform routine safety inspections and internal audits.
- Report and document unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of fire safety equipment.

4. Accident Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate workplace accidents and near misses.
- Maintain records of accidents as per statutory requirements.
- Suggest preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

5. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees and workers.
- Promote a safety culture by organizing safety drills, fire drills, and first-aid training.

6. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with fire departments and external agencies for emergency preparedness.
