Job Description

Position: Purchase Manager

Location: Ballabgarh, Faridabad, Haryana

Experience: 4–7 Years

Salary Budget: ₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month

Industry: Manufacturing / Casting Industry

Job Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for the plant.

Source and develop reliable vendors for raw materials, casting components, consumables, tools, and other industrial requirements.

Handle procurement of casting industry materials, ferrous/non-ferrous raw materials, machining components, and engineering items.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.

Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per company requirements.

Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Accounts departments for material requirements.

Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.

Follow up with vendors for pending orders, dispatches, and deliveries.

Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.





Maintain purchase records, vendor database, quotations, comparative statements, and documentation.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and develop alternative sources.

Handle urgent procurement requirements and resolve supply-related issues.

Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procedures.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of casting industry and manufacturing processes.

Good knowledge of raw materials, engineering components, consumables, and industrial supplies.

Vendor development and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of Purchase Orders, RFQs, quotations, and comparative statements.

Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and purchase-related ERP/software.

Solid communication and analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet production requirements.

Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
